Instant pot Hamburger Helper

A healthy version of Hamburger helper

I am taking advantage of my instant pot as much as possible right now. My daughter is almost 21 months and is going through a clingy stage, so it is tough for me to cook without her wanting to be picked up. This is super easy to make and it takes maybe ten minutes to prep. I personally do not like things super cheesy. So I add cheese at the end of this meal and put it on top. But if you are a cheese fanatic then go ahead and add it whenever you want.

The ingredients in traditional Hamburger helper are super crappy and they even contain food dyes. Let’s stay far away from this and make a more delicious and nutrient dense version at home.

Hamburger helper is a classic but it is also loaded with poor ingredients. This is a super easy and much healthier version of it. 




  1. Cook onions and ground beef in instant pot until meat is browned. Utilize coconut oil or grass fed ghee, butter or tallow to cook in.

    Add in all of the spices and tomato paste

    Add the noddles on top and add in the broth and coconut milk or cows milk.

    Top with cheese if you desire, or you can wait.

    Utilize the pasta button and cook for five minutes.

    Once complete, top with some fresh or dried parsley.
